Description:
A virtual event that brings together the community of educators at Virginia Tech to discuss how they’ve been able to transition their classes online, how they’ve been leveraging Top Hat to help keep students motivated and engaged, and how they’ve created effective learning experiences online and in-person with Top Hat.
We will partner with 2-3 Virginia Tech faculty members across different disciplines to create short 10-minute presentations where they will showcase tips and tricks for using Top Hat in innovative ways. A facilitator from Top Hat, Joe Sample, will also share details around the lastest Top Hat features that will equip professors to provide a seamless active learning experience, regardless of classes being online or in-person in the coming semesters.
The fall semester is looming and pressure is mounting on instructors to be ready to teach effectively, whatever the situation dictates: whether online, face-to-face or a combination of the two. Just as important is ensuring students see the value of investing their time and effort in courses that may need to be delivered online. With this virtual event, we hope to provide Virginia Tech instructors with an opportunity to get ideas from their peers on how to address these challenges, and help them reimagine just how much better online and blended courses can be with new upgrades to the Top Hat platform.
