Description:
The purpose of this workshop is to introduce you to the primary considerations for teaching online, primarily for those who haven't done so before. Participants should already be familiar with basic Canvas access and tools, as well as basic access to campus-sponsored video tools such as Zoom and Kaltura.
In this session, we will talk about how the unique circumstances here should factor into your course schedule/syllabus, a little about the "how" and "why" behind online interaction, and how you can use tools already embedded in Canvas to reach your current students, and potentially benefit future face-to-face students as well.
