Description:

This course is designed to teach techniques for creating accessible PDFs (Portable Document Format) that are usable by all, including those using assistive technologies. PDF is a file format developed by Adobe in the 1990s to maintain visual formatting across platforms, but accessibility features must be deliberately added — they don’t happen by accident.

This course breaks down the process of PDF remediation, demystifying its reputation for being difficult and frustrating. While it can be time-consuming, accessible PDF creation is straightforward when approached systematically. With practice, these steps will become second nature
