Learn how to make your Canvas course content more accessible for every student. This hands-on session walks participants through using Ally and Canvas accessibility checkers, improving WYSIWYG (Rich Content Editor) content, and ensuring media and caption accuracy. You’ll explore common accessibility myths, identify quick fixes with big impact, and leave with actionable strategies to make your course materials more accessible.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Use Ally and Canvas accessibility checkers to identify, interpret, and remediate accessibility issues within course content and uploaded files.
- Apply best practices for designing accessible Canvas pages by improving WYSIWYG content, ensuring accurate media captions, and correcting common accessibility errors.
