This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Null Hypothesis Significance Testing (NHST), with a focus on both the Fisher and Neyman-Pearson Frameworks. Participants will learn to distinguish between null and alternative hypotheses, directional versus non-directional tests, and population versus sampling distributions. The course includes step-by-step guidance on how to conduct and interpret single-case z-tests, one-sample z-tests, and one-sample t-tests. It also covers key statistical concepts such as p-values, α thresholds, Type I and II errors, and statistical power, including how to conduct a power analysis using G*Power.
