This course supports mid-career faculty in reinvigorating their teaching practices and adapting to evolving educational landscapes. Participants will explore why the mid-career stage presents a strategic opportunity for innovation and renewal in the classroom. It provides practical strategies for refreshing course content by incorporating new lines of focus, updated case studies, and stronger integration between teaching and scholarship. It also emphasizes modern pedagogical approaches, including active learning, experiential education, and student-centered design enhanced by thoughtful technology use. Learners will explore interdisciplinary and collaborative teaching methods to improve student outcomes and will develop strategies to document and demonstrate teaching innovation through updated teaching statements, feedback mechanisms, and peer observation.

Upon completion of this comprehensive and engaging course, you will be able to:
- Explain why mid-career is a prime moment for teaching innovation
- Refresh what you teach by pursuing new lines of focus, updating case studies and examples, and integrating research and teaching in the classroom
