This course equips mid-career faculty with advanced evidence-based strategies for both seeking and providing mentorship. Participants will explore how mentoring needs evolve from early- to mid-career and learn to systematically build a strong, diverse network of mentors using methods such as the Developmental Network Analysis Tool and the Environmental Scan Tool. The course provides practical guidance on initiating new mentoring relationships through effective outreach, including customizable e-mail templates. It also introduces approaches such as Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to enhance mentoring effectiveness. Finally, learners will design a structured 30-day mentoring plan that avoids common pitfalls and supports sustained professional growth.
