This course provides mid-career faculty with a strategic roadmap for leveraging sabbaticals and fellowships to invigorate their professional trajectory. Participants will compare the similarities and differences between these opportunities and understand how each can support career advancement. The course introduces a 3-Phase Framework (Pre-Experience, Mid-Experience, and Post-Experience) to guide participants from identifying and securing opportunities to maximizing their impact. Learners will be able to develop strong application materials, establish productive workflows during their leave, and effectively disseminate outcomes through final reports, conference presentations, and publications to extend the long-term benefits of their experience.
