This course introduces the internal operations of peer-reviewed academic journals and the essential processes behind scholarly publishing. Learners will explore peer-review outcomes, compare traditional and Open Access publishing models, and learn how to pursue Editorial Review Board member and Ad Hoc reviewer roles. The course also highlights the value of structured reporting checklists in manuscript preparation and provides guidance on selecting the most appropriate checklist based on study design.
