Description:
This course introduces the structure, processes, and publication formats of academic journals in the humanities. Learners will explore key disciplines, subfields, and forms of interdisciplinarity, as well as compare common types of humanities publications. The course outlines the peer-review process, roles of editorial decision-makers, and the distinct structure of humanities articles compared to the IMRaD structure of scientific articles. Additional topics include building co-author teams and understanding the full lifecycle of humanities book publishing.
