This course introduces researchers to the fundamentals and strategic applications of social media analytics for enhancing research dissemination. Learners will define key metrics such as impression count, engagement rate, and conversion rate, and understand how these indicators vary across major platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. The course compares key analytics tools and demonstrates how to use data insights to refine content strategy and rapidly increase reach. Participants will also learn to avoid common interpretation errors and use a social media analytics report template to document the performance of research-related posts.
