This course introduces the foundational concepts of scientific research, emphasizing how knowledge is generated, evaluated, and applied. Participants will explore the distinctions between ontology and epistemology and examine the six primary sources of knowledge, along with their limitations. The course also contrasts science with pseudoscience and highlights the advantages of research conducted using the Scientific Method. Learners will develop an understanding of the role of theory, the scientist’s responsibilities, and the essential characteristics of rigorous and impactful scientific inquiry.
