Description:

This course explores the design and implementation of experimental research, equipping learners with the knowledge to select and execute the most appropriate experimental framework. It compares the strengths and limitations of pre-experimental, posttest-only, and pretest-posttest designs and explains how to structure within-participants, between-participants, and mixed designs. Learners are guided through securing IRB approval, preparing study materials, running pilot tests, and using G*Power for a priori sample size calculation. The course also covers best practices for participant recruitment, informed consent, protocol execution, and post-study debriefing, while identifying common pitfalls to avoid throughout the research process.
