This course introduces foundational statistical concepts and explores their application in research design and data visualization. Learners will compare descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as distinguish between experimental and observational study designs. The course clarifies variable classification by examining different types of categorical and continuous variables. Based on the type and structure of data, participants will also learn how to choose between using pie charts, bar charts, histograms, and boxplots. Step-by-step guidance is provided for using SPSS to generate accurate and effective data visualizations.
