Definition:
This session is for individuals serving as diversity advocates on search committees who have completed the online training. The purpose of the session is to practice "interjecting and redirecting" in order to minimize bias in search deliberations. We will use scenarios featuring common cognitive behaviors that may arise in interviews or committee deliberations so that participants can practice applying the best strategies for fair and equitable processes.
