You want to be an ally for your students of color, but you are not quite sure what that means. What if you offend someone or make an assumption that turns out to be wrong? Can you be an ally if you’re not an expert on race? This session is for faculty who still have questions of how to meaningfully incorporate race and ethnicity into their course content and pedagogy. Participants will share experiences using a reflection rubric that explores reaction and response, with the goal of moving toward more effective, empowering engagements.
