Description:

The Advancing Diversity Gathering is an annual InclusiveVT Touchpoint event that brings together diversity and inclusion stakeholders across the university for sharing best practices and learning from one another.

Recordings of live events and online presentations will be available here through the spring 2023 semester.

The Keynote speaker is Tara J. Yosso, Ph.D., Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Riverside. 

Dr. Yosso follows in the tradition of scholars who believe education can serve as a tool for liberation.  Her research addresses race as a social construction and analyzes the consequences of racism at its intersections with other forms of subordination across time and place. Her Community Cultural Wealth framework has been cited 8,000 times by scholars and used widely nationally and internationally across disciplines
