Description:

This 5 week course is the third installment of Virginia Tech's VirTual Safe Zone series. It offers an introduction to the queer and trans history of this land prior to the founding of the United States and leading up to the Stonewall riots in 1969. This course builds on the material covered in VirTual Safe Zone 101 and VirTual Trans Safe Zone.  As such, VirTual Safe Zone 101 and VirTual Trans Safe Zone are both prerequisites for registration in this course.

In order to receive your VirTual Safe Zone badge, you must successfully complete VirTual Safe Zone 101, VirTual Trans Safe Zone, and one VirTual Safe Zone elective. You are welcome to take more than one VirTual Safe Zone elective, and there will be more information about registering for additional electives upon completion of this course.
