Description:

This seminar will be facilitated by the PREP's vendor (Continual Engine). It will explore the remediation techniques for remediating complex PDFs using the PREP (PDF Remediation Platform) dasboard environment. Designed for accessibility and remediation, it will address challenges such as “mashed” text in previews, accessibility checker errors, and inconsistencies between visual content and tags.
Participants will learn practical strategies for correcting complex tables when PREP table tools automation fails and for applying proper tag nesting to improve document structure. The seminar equips attendees with effective approaches to handle difficult remediation scenarios and create accessible, standards-compliant PDFs.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Diagnose and resolve complex PDF issues, including mashed text and discrepancies identified in accessibility checkers.

Repair and structure complex tables manually when automated tools fail, ensuring proper relationships and reading order.

Apply effective tagging practices, including appropriate nesting, to produce accessible, standards-compliant PDFs.
