Description:

Designing accessible learning materials does not have to mean starting from scratch. In this hands-on workshop, faculty and graduate students will explore how NotebookLM can support Universal Design for Learning by helping transform existing course materials into more accessible, flexible, and student-ready resources.


Participants will use the AMERH framework — Ask, Museful, Evaluate, React, and Chain/Refine — to guide NotebookLM in creating grounded, source-based materials such as study guides, summaries, glossaries, alternative explanations, and scaffolded learning supports. Special attention will be given to designing for diverse learners, including neurodivergent students, visually impaired students, multilingual learners, and students with varied preferences for accessing and engaging with course content..
