Description:

The cultural experience of international students has a positive impact on bringing diversity and internationalization to the U. S. college communities. Identifying the challenges international students in higher education face in the U.S. since the Pandemic has started is critical to understanding their needs, improving their experiences, and increasing their chances for academic and social success. As part of this workshop, we will explore the academic challenges faced by our international students at Virginia Tech and recommend research-based best practices to help faculty and staff connect with students and address those challenges, using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and culturally responsive pedagogy
