Presented By: Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT)

Description:
Our world view is limited by what we think is possible. While the realm of possibilities is destined to be inscrutable, I will argue that understanding the possible is a fundamental human need. I will connect this idea to activities in different fields, by highlighting how they help us peek behind the veil of here and now. To illustrate, I will explain how this concept motivates my own research across arts, science, and engineering and how it can be used to create learning opportunities across different fields. Warning: this talk will feature equations. And babies.

Speaker: Wallace Lages
