Description:

How can art help us better understand our communities? Our interdisciplinary project aims to visually represent a specific community through survey data & data visualization. Using research on color theory and emotional well-being, our final art piece will allow viewers to engage with their community through an emotionally moving and continually updating work of art. Community members can submit daily surveys aimed at assessing their overall emotional well-being; each individual will then be assigned a unique color representing their responses that is then integrated into the final art piece. By combining visual arts, color psychology, and computer science, we hope to help communities better understand how they are doing and be inspired to enact positive change.
