Description:

The Research on Organizational Partnerships in Education Systems (ROPES) Hub is a $3M NSF-funded project focused on understanding the network of systems that influence low-income engineering and computing student success. This project connects a wide range of higher education institutions across the nation with the intent on aggregating research on how broad networks of inter- and intra- organizational partnerships are critical to supporting low-income student success, particularly in engineering and computing careers. This discussion will focus on details about the value of organization and education systems-level research, the challenges and opportunities of bridging research and practice through collaboration with a wide range of four-year and two-year institutions across the nation, and a specific project around curricular complexity and the role of descriptive analysis as a boundary object to foster support change with faculty and departments.
