Description:
We are excited to share the transformative journey of our 2024 and 2025 L2Ork Tweeter Hackathons, hybrid events hosted by Virginia Tech's Linux Laptop Orchestra (L2Ork) and supported by ICTAS and ICAT. These hackathons have connected students and faculty from Virginia Tech, Hampton University, San Antonio Texas, UNTREF (Argentina), and other partner institutions, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration through hands-on engagement with the L2Ork Tweeter platform—an open-source tool for music and technology exploration. Focused on building partnerships with HBCUs and MSIs, these events have sparked creativity, strengthened community connections, and laid the foundation for long-term collaborative initiatives. We look forward to sharing insights, outcomes, and our vision for the future of this collaboration.
