Description:
The Light and Shadow Instruments Project merges architecture and the performing arts through a transdisciplinary collaboration that explores the musical potential of daylight. The Instruments—architectural models designed to capture and measure solar angles during equinoxes and solstices—will be exhibited and discussed. As this is a work in progress, we will share some collaborative process as we develop the instruments and their uses in a pedagogical context.
Speakers:
Madison Cook, Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice, School of Architecture
Eduardo Sato, Assistant Professor, School of Performing Art
