Description:
Some microorganisms love to set up camp on microplastics (MPs), turning these tiny pollutants into floating microbial metropolises. Their sticky biofilms could change how MPs move, clump together, or even hitchhike with harmful chemicals and pathogens. Teaching the next generation about these microbial hitchhikers offers a powerful opportunity to inspire future scientists, problem-solvers, and environmental stewards to tackle plastic pollution in creative and impactful ways.
