The Virginia Tech Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) is delighted to kick off the Fall 2025 semester with our very first Playdate under the leadership of newly appointed Interim Co-Directors Lisa McNair and Tom Martin. This special gathering will not only showcase the groundbreaking research and creative projects of our talented students and faculty, it will also serve as an opportunity to celebrate community, collaboration, and the spirit of innovation that defines ICAT.
In this inaugural session with our new Interim Co-directors, we will also take a moment to wish a fond farewell to Founding Director Ben Knapp, who is heading to Northeastern University to embark on an exciting new chapter.
