Description:
Metal 3D printing has long remained out of reach due to high costs, technical complexity, and specialized equipment—until now. This presentation showcases breakthrough research from the VT DREAMS Lab that simplifies metal 3D printing through easy part removal, reduced hardware needs, and in-house software that turns simple 2D sketches directly into metal parts. By lowering barriers for students, designers, and industry alike, this work paves the way for the true democratization of metal additive manufacturing.
