Description:

Campus Cycling 101: Safe and Smart Cylcing at Virginia Tech

Join us at the Hokie Bike Hub for an interactive workshop on safe cycling on and around campus. Whether you’re new to riding or a daily commuter, this workshop will cover essential skills and knowledge to help you ride confidently and responsibly.
You’ll learn:
•        The rules of the road and how they apply to cyclists on and off campus
•        Best practices for navigating traffic, bike lanes, and shared paths
•        Safety tips for commuting efficiently and avoiding common hazards
The session is based on the League of American Bicyclists’ Smart Cycling curriculum, a nationally recognized program designed to promote confident, predictable, and safe riding.
•        When: October 7th, 2:30–3:30 PM
•        Where: Hokie Bike Hub Conference Room, Transit Center
•        Why Attend: Build your confidence, improve your riding skills, and learn how to make every trip by bike safer and more enjoyable.
