This session is the first of three digital preservation sessions and focuses on personal archiving and preservation of personal data, including pictures, videos, audio recordings, personal digital websites, and social media. The session will review some basic digitization methods for analog materials, as well as strategies for organization and tagging. We will also outline a reasonable personal preservation system made up of hardware and a timeline for content migration.
