Description:

Do you have a dataset you need to clean up? Do you want help learning how to use R to clean data? If so, the SAIG Short Course: Data Manipulation in R is the right course for you! In this hands on and interactive course we will learn to do the following:

 

• Subset a dataset

• Create new variables 

• Arrange, sort, and rename variables

• Stack datasets

• Merge datasets

 

Very minimal coding experience is required. It is suggested that you attend the SAIG Short Course: Basics of R before attending this course.

Bring your laptop to the course and please install R and RStudio on your machine. You can download them from the following links:

If you already have R and RStudio on your laptop, make sure they are the most up to date versions. Older versions don’t have some of the functionality we will need for this course.
