Description:
Many classroom data analysis exercises involve clean data sets, clearly defined questions or goals, and a mostly predetermined analysis path. But real-world data analysis isn’t always so straightforward. Instead, it often involves some form of data exploration: initially assessing data integrity, searching for patterns with whichever graphs or analyses are needed, formulating new questions based on initial findings, and so forth. Teaching this exploratory process helps prepare students for the real-world data analysis challenges they will face after graduation. This webinar will help you build this important skill into your course by reviewing JMP tools for exploring data visually and statistically as well as for assessing data integrity. We’ll also review relevant teaching resources.
NOTE: Participants will also have to register with JMP for this event. In order to do that, complete the PDN registration and then visit the Canvas site for the JMP registration information.
