Full course description
Term: Fall 2023
Date: September 19th, 2023
Time: 11:00am - 12:15pm
Location: Online Only
Instructor: Mathhew Brown
Presented By: Advanced Research Computing (ARC)
Description:
While CPU, memory, and GPU utilization get the most attention, frequently data input-output from storage becomes a bottleneck in scaling workloads up on clusters such as those hosted by ARC. This workshop will explore the variety of systems ARC hosts for file storage, discuss the strengths and design of each, and provide some best practice guidelines for using them. Be ready with your own use cases in mind as time will also be dedicated to discussing real-life example cases as brought by participants.
