Data storage and transfer are critical components of projects using ARC resources. Depending on the data and network, there are different options for how to store and transfer files. In this workshop, we will use tar and xz for compressing and extracting data in different ways. We will practice transferring data with scp, rsync, and Globus. Through these examples, we will highlight best practices for different cases.
