Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) offer powerful capabilities for streamlining code development and project management. This hands-on workshop introduces Microsoft Visual Studio Code (VSCode), a lightweight yet versatile IDE that can be tailored to meet your development needs. Participants will learn how to customize their workspace, edit code, navigate directories, and connect to ARC’s high-performance computing (HPC) clusters via SSH through VSCode. The session will also cover using VSCode extensions for enhanced productivity, including error detection, version control, and other workflow optimizations, making VSCode a powerful tool for HPC development environments.
