Collaborative research is hard in any discipline. This session will explore the science behind successful research collaborations using a team science approach. Participants will learn what is and what is not collaborative research, some evidence-based practices to mitigate common collaborative research problems, and how you can adopt some of these approaches in your own practice. Researchers of all fields are welcome.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
  • Describe some models for conducting interdisciplinary and team-based research
  • Plan for common collaboration problems that affect team-based research
