Do you wonder about how people engage with or discuss your research on social media, in the news, and elsewhere? Altmetric data may help satisfy your curiosity! In this session you will be introduced to altmetrics and learn about how they can support your work at Virginia Tech. With the Altmetric Explorer platform and other tools you can dive into conversations happening around your (or your institution’s) research. This information can help paint a richer picture of the full reach and impact of your research, which can be useful in communicating with others about your research. This interactive training session covers altmetrics basics and a live demo of tools, plus use cases and best practices to help think about how you can get the most out of altmetrics now and in the future.
