Do you have a dataset you need to clean up? Do you want help learning how to use R to clean data? If so, the SAIG Short Course: Data Manipulation in R is the right course for you! In this hands on and interactive course we will learn to do the following:
• Subset a dataset
• Create new variables
• Arrange, sort, and rename variables
• Stack datasets
• Merge datasets
Very minimal coding experience is required. It is suggested that you attend the SAIG Short Course: Basics of R before attending this course.
Bring your laptop to the course and please install R and RStudio on your machine. You can download them from the following links:
If you already have R and RStudio on your laptop, make sure they are the most up to date versions. Older versions don’t have some of the functionality we will need for this course.
This course is jointly sponsored by the Statistical Application and Innovations Group (SAIG) and Professional Development Network (PDN).
