Description:
Do you have discrete data from a sample and want to test the proportion of the population with a feature against a certain value? In other words, do you want to know if the increased proportion with this feature in your sample are significant? Are you interested in comparing the proportions between two different groups? In the SAIG Short Course Proportion Tests in R, we will cover the different situations in which proportion tests are applied. The following topics will be covered:
• One sample proportion tests
• Two sample proportion tests
Some experience in R and familiarity with hypothesis testing concepts is preferred but not required. It is suggested that you attend the SAIG Short Courses: Basics of R and t-tests in R before attending this course if possible. Bring your laptop with R and RStudio installed on your machine.
