About the SIRC Investigator Series: The SIRC Investigator Series focuses on integrating the tools of ethical analysis into day-to-day research activities. Having the skills to identify areas of ethical uncertainty, analyze the potential options, and articulate the rationale for the chosen course of action are vital skills as the scientific community works to foster public trust in the scientific process. Each Investigator Series webinar explores issues related ethical research and innovation in the pursuit of research excellence.
Panel Discussion Description: As a leader in Reproductive Medicine and Maternal Health, Ferring works diligently to reduce disparities in maternal mortality and to improve in vitro fertilization (IVF), pregnancy and post-partum outcomes for black communities, indigenous communities and all communities of color. As part of that commitment, Jade Shields, the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, leads a team that works to better understand and, ultimately, drive solutions to tackle disparities in reproductive medicine and maternal health. During this panel discussion Jade and members of this team will discuss issues related to diversity and inclusion in reproductive medicine and maternal health research. The panel will also explore Ferring's approach to ethics and sustainability.
