Description:

In early 2023 a new NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy will go into effect that will impact proposal development and submission for funding from NIH. It will also impact expectations on sharing of research data from NIH funding. In this webinar we will discuss this impending NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy. After this webinar you will have answers to the following questions:

Presenter: As Assistant Director of Data Management and Curation Services, Jonathan Petters provides research data management planning, training, and curation support to researchers across Virginia Tech through the University Libraries. Previously Jon previously served in a similar data management services role at Johns Hopkins University. Jon holds a PhD in Meteorology from Penn State. Jon was also an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science, where he investigated data management policies and needs within the physical sciences.
