- You will need an ARC account to follow along
- Access to a VT network (e.g., on campus or connected to VPN)
- Familiar with Unix shell/command line environment

Attended one or more previous ARC workshops or have a familiarity with ARC systems.
Description:
This workshop is designed for Virginia Tech faculty, researchers, and students who want to (1) learn how to leverage various command line tools for job resource optimization, (2) use our Grafana dashboards for visualizing real-time system performance, specifically CPU/GPU utilization, and (3) explore the tools used for login node resource monitoring. It is extremely important to understand how to monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of your computational jobs in order to contribute to a more efficient use of our shared HPC infrastructure here at Virginia Tech. Workshop material will be provided for those who register and will include additional tips and best practices for using ARC systems that may or may not be covered depending on time.
