Virginia Tech has faculty engaged in excellent teaching, but often the day-to-day workload, as well as the demands of disciplinary research, create barriers to SoTL publication. To support faculty engaged with the scholarship of teaching and learning to publish in peer-reviewed journals, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning offers a 3-day, off-site writing retreat. A small group of participants are selected to engage in focused data analysis and writing at an off-campus location. Participants set aside these days to focus on publication with the intent of completing a draft of an article by the end of the 3rd day. In addition to writing and data analysis support, faculty participating in the writing retreat will receive a small stipend. If you are interested in publishing your Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, we invite you to apply to participate in the Writing Retreat.  BEFORE Enrolling in this course, apply for the Writing Retreat at this address: https://goo.gl/forms/HmJPjBJHGSVMYGDr1.
