Description:
Introductory courses often present challenges for our students due to a variety of reasons (e.g., breadth of coverage, weak prior knowledge). This workshop will focus on specific research-based techniques instructors of introductory courses can implement to help improve student learning and success. The strategies covered will work across disciplines and class size. Faculty are encouraged to bring with them common concerns they have related to their introductory courses so we can discuss those in the workshop and develop potential solutions.
