The Assignment Design Clinic is a one day workshop on designing effective assignments for student learning. The workshop includes working time, individual consultation, and feedback opportunities to help teaching faculty create new or revise existing course assignments and grading criteria (e.g., rubrics, evaluation descriptions). Elements of transparent assignment design will be covered before breaking into working sessions focused on developing assignment descriptions and instructions, grading/evaluation criteria and tools (e.g., rubrics), and additional assignment resources (if applicable). Attendees can focus on developing one or more assignments during the clinic.
