Description:

 This session is designed to provide an introduction to incorporating teams/groups into teaching contexts to promote and facilitate learning. Topics addressed in this workshop will include why teams/groups are often used to facilitate learning, common ways in which teams/groups are incorporated into learning contexts, and strategies for effectively developing and implementing group/team-based learning experiences (e.g., activity/assignment design and assessment, group/team formation, supporting positive/product groups/teams in learning). By the end of this session, participants will be introduced to a variety of strategies for effectively incorporating groups/teams in learning experiences that they are facilitating currently or designing/redesigning in the future
