Description:

Staff from the Cranwell International Center and Cook Counseling at Virginia Tech share factors that shape international student experiences and deliver training in the Community Resiliency Model (CRM). Join us to learn context and skills to support international students' holistic well-being. Recommended for all current faculty, staff, and graduate students. 2-hour, stand-alone session offered in hybrid format.

Be able to identify the mission and scope of Cranwell International Center
Understand basic immigration concepts and regulations that shape international student experiences at VT
Learn neuroscientific principles and Community Resilience Model
Recognize some of the challenges distinctive to international students through activities
Practice a few CRM techniques to self-regulate
Feel more confident about responding and serving international students better together
