Description:
This comprehensive course spans twelve weeks beginning with an in-person workshop and culminating with a fully developed course that undergoes a quality assurance review. Faculty developing these courses are invited to present them in a showcase during the next academic year. In this experience, faculty participate in a cohort approach to course development that includes feedback and insight from fellow faculty along with weekly meetings with an instructional designer and access to support and services for content, learning activity and assessment development.
Faculty participants will start with a specific course to be developed for distance learning as approved by their program and/or Department. Faculty are guided through the process of designing and developing interactive and engaging distance learning courses that meet quality assurance standards as provided by Quality Matters ® Higher Education Rubric.
