Description:

This six-week online session begins with an on-site opening workshop for which the date , time and location are listed and with participation available via Zoom.  This is followed by a six-week online offering focused on distance learning course delivery and strategies for teaching at a distance.   It is designed to prepare faculty teaching at a distance for the first time and help improve practices for those with some distance teaching experience. 

Participants will examine strategies, pedagogy, tools, and best practices for distance learning class management, learning activities, and student interaction. Topics within this track include writing clear objectives, structuring your distance learning course, effective communication, student engagement and assessment.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to receive insight and feedback from faculty of varying levels of experience in teaching at a distance and from a variety of disciplines.
